This policy (“Return Policy”) governs any return or replacement or cancellation of the bike, accessories and any other products offered for sale by Calamus UK Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Calamus”) on the Platform. Returns is a scheme provided by us under this Return Policy in terms of which the option of exchange, replacement and/ or refund is offered by us to you. The terms and conditions that constitute our Return Policy are given below.
Any capitalized terms used in the Return Policy not defined herein shall have the meaning provided to it under the Terms of Service.
“We” capitalized or otherwise, refers to Calamus and related phrases “us” and “our” should be understood accordingly.
“You” capitalised or otherwise, means the customer who has placed a purchase order on our website https://calamusbikes.com/ or such website or any other mobile application powered by Calamus to provide the bike/product(s). “Your” capitalised or otherwise, has a corresponding meaning.
We offer a free six (6) day cancellation policy from the date of placement of order and a thirty (30) day return policy from the date of receipt of your order subject to our satisfaction that the product is in the same condition as received and subject to any applicable Cancellation Fee (as defined hereinafter). Most of our products are eligible for return and refund within the return window of thirty (30) days, except those that are explicitly identified as not returnable on the product detail page on our Platform. You can raise a request for a return by writing to our customer care team at [.]. Please note that if thirty (30) days have gone by since the receipt of your order, we will not offer you a return nor a refund. Refund is subject to certain terms and conditions, which are given below.
In order to be eligible for a return, the items you wish to return must be:
1.1 Unused and should not be broken or tampered with;
1.2 In the same conditions in which you had received it;
1.3 In the original box and packaging;
1.4 Accompanied with the original invoice or proof of purchase;
1.5 Accompanied with the user manual and other documents; and
1.6 Accompanied with all accessories, products and parts provided at the time of sale.
Once you request to return a product via email or phone, a pick-up is organised for the product. Our courier partners will come to pick up the item within 5-7 business days after your return request has been received. This product is then brought back to our warehouse where it is checked by our quality control team. Once the product passes the quality control, a refund is initiated.
Cancellation and Return
2.1 Cancellation Before Shipment
2.1.1 If you wish to cancel your order prior to its shipment, you can write to our customer care team at [.] with a subject line “Order cancellation – << Order number >> ” and reason for the cancellation in the body of the email within six (6) days from placement of your order. Please note that if you cancel your order after the six (6) days’ time period, we reserve the right to charge you a cancellation fee, which shall be an amount equal to three percent (3%) of the purchase price (Cancellation Fee”). We will verify the cancellation order and refund the money paid by you within twenty-eight (28) days to the same account/card that was used while making the payment for the order subject to deduction of the Cancellation Fee.
2.2 Cancellation Post Shipment
2.2.1 If you wish to cancel your order after shipment, please write to our customer care team at [.] with a subject line “Order cancellation – << Order number >> ” and reason for the cancellation in the body of the e-mail. Please note that if the shipment has been handed over to the courier company, they may attempt to deliver the order to you. Please do not accept delivery of the order by citing that the cancellation request has been initiated from your end by writing to us. On receipt of the returned package with all parts, accessories and documents, we shall refund the money paid by you after deducting the shipping cost and other cost including Cancellation Fee, customs duty (if any), within twenty-eight (28) days to the same account/card that was used while making the payment for the order.
2.3 Cancellation After Opening the Package
2.3.1 If you wish to return the bike/product(s) after receiving it you must write to our customer care team at [.] within thirty (30) days of receiving your order. We will not entertain any request for a return after thirty (30) days of receiving the order. We will make arrangements for return pick up and any return shipping cost and other costs including customs duty (if any) will be borne by you. On receipt of the returned package with all parts, accessories and documents, we shall undertake a quality test and inspection of the products to ensure that the products are not damaged. Thereafter, if approved by our quality team, we shall refund the money paid by you after deducting the shipping cost and Cancellation Fee, within twenty-eight (28) days to the same account/card that was used while making the payment for the order.
2.4 Damaged, Defective, Wrong Product Delivered
2.4.1 We ensure quality check processes for all orders before they leave the warehouse. However, in the event your order is damaged during shipment or transit, you can request for a return and/or replacement. In the case of a damaged/defective product or the delivery of a wrong product, please immediately write to our customer care team at [.] upon unboxing /delivery the bike/product or within five (5) days of receiving the order along with photos clearly depicting the defective/wrong delivered product. You must notify Calamus of defects that could not have been discovered within the above mentioned period in writing immediately after discovery, but in any case no later than thirty (30) days of the receipt of the product(s). Should you fail to inform Calamus within the above mentioned term, your right to exercise any of your rights with regard to such irregularity or defect will have lapsed. We will initiate a repair, replacement, refund or return process of either the whole order or defective part(s) within fifteen (15) days of receiving your request. We may contact you to ascertain the damage or defect in the product.
2.4.2 Any other damages that may have occurred to the bike/product(s) shall be your responsibility such as normal wear and tear, defects, malfunctions or failures that result from the abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, alteration, modification, accident or misuse of the bike/product(s). However, we will advise you regarding rectification of the said issue.
2.4 Approval of Return Order
Any approval of a request for the return/replacement of the bike/product(s) shall be at the sole discretion of Calamus. A return order will be generated for approved returns and you will be notified about it. You shall be refunded within twenty-eight (28) business days from the time your order has been approved for a refund and confirmation e-mail is sent to you. Refunds will be made to the original method of payment.
2.5 Shipping Costs for Return Orders
2.5.1 You will be responsible for paying shipping costs for the return of the bike/product(s) except for when a defective product has been delivered to you. Shipping and handling costs as may be applicable are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. All shipping, transportation and processing charges must be prepaid and insured by you. You should consider using a track able shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned product(s).
2.5.2 If the product you ordered arrived in a physically damaged or defective condition or is different from their description on the product detail page , or has missing parts or accessories, it will be eligible for a free replacement, subject to 2.4.1 and provided the exact item is available with us.

Exchange is applicable according to stock availability of the product(s) with the company. In case of non-availability of the product(s), the purchase price shall be refunded to you. Exchanges for different items or differently priced items cannot be made. If we receive such a request, we will automatically process the original item for a refund instead.
4.1 Some products are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. These include:

4.2 Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Book with obvious signs of use
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than thirty (30) days after delivery
Calamus reserves the right to make changes to the terms and conditions of the Return Policy without notice.
